Launch day: I made bookmarks.email
What is bookmarks.email
bookmarks.email is a simple service that sends you a daily digest of your Twitter bookmarks
Why I made it
I use Twitter bookmarks a lot. As a subscriber to Twitter Blue, I can also manage my bookmarks in Folders.
However, revisiting these bookmarks is not a great experience. The infinite scrolling sometimes is exactly this: infinite – without any further loading. Not to mention that I have no chance to search within my bookmarks.
There are a couple of services around that problem. Most of them use either browser extensions or require you to mention a bot account under the tweet to bookmark.
I wanted something that utilizes the native Twitter bookmark feature. So I sent myself a daily digest of my new bookmarks. Now I can use my email client (I use GMail, mostly) to archive and search within these bookmarks.
Then, I made a little service out of my small script: bookmarks.email – and I invite you to give it a try.
The Big Launch
Today, my little service was launched on four platforms:
ProductHunt: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/bookmarks-email
Hacker News: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33331134
Want to try it?
Feel free to try bookmarks.email. Just go to the home page and click the "Get started" button.
I'm looking forward to hearing about your feedback, either via email or by commenting (or upvoting ;) on one of the aforementioned launch platforms
Thank you!
Have a great day ahead!
